Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced yesterday that two men were arrested after being found with more than 6 pounds of meth on Thursday.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents made contact with two men yesterday in the parking lot of a pharmacy in Thibodaux.

Through investigation, agents obtained intelligence about narcotics in the vehicle in which they were traveling. Initially one of the men, Louis Antoine, 27, of Gibson, attempted to run, but he was quickly apprehended. The other man is Jasmine Antoine, 29, of Gray.


Authorities obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and disocvered 6.35 pounds of meth and 17 Tramadol pills.

Both men were immediately arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. The investigation was part of a joint narcotics investigation with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

Louis Antoine was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Resisting an Officer, and he was booked on an outstanding warrant for Contempt of Court. His bail is set at $1,005,250. He is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.


Jasmine Antoine was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Tramadol. His bail is set at $1.05 million. He is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.

Agents indicate this investigation is continuing and additional arrests are possible.
