A man from Violet and a juvenile from Chalmette were arrested on Friday, February 21 — and three other suspects remain at large — in connection with an attempt to burglarize a Houma motorcycle dealership, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

At around 5:04 a.m. today, deputies were dispatched to a burglar alarm business on the 5500

block of West Park Avenue.

Information was developed that a U-Haul truck had pulled up to the store, and that four individuals exited the truck.

Deputies arrived and observed a truck matching that description and attempted to get it to pull over.

According to authorities, the truck’s driver committed numerous traffic violations while eluding capture, traveling through a nearby neighborhood and finally coming to a halt.

Three subjects abandoned the truck and ran, TPSO said.

At a location near Euclid Avenue, two subjects were apprehended inside the truck, detained and transported for questioning.

Branden Anthony Angeletty Jr., age 21, was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex, where he was booked for attempted burglary of a business and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

A 16-year-old apprehended with Angeletty was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile

Detention Center. Additional suspects are being sought and other charges may be pending.
