The Houma Police Department has arrested two men following a disturbance involving a firearm.

Yesterday afternoon, HPD was called to the East side of Houma involving an incident involving a gun.

During investigation, authorities learned that an individual contacted Clayton J. Gil, 28, of Carolyn Avenue concerning money Gil owed him for a cell phone.


As the investigation continued, authorities learned that Gil then retrieved a weapon from underneath a utility trailer, and threatened the reporting person. Afterward, Gil allegedly handed the weapon to his friend, Dylan Trahan, 28, of Leslie Street, who also began to threaten the victim.

HPD located both men near the intersection of Mary Ann and Ranger Street.

Both were taken into custody, and a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol was located on Gil’s possession.


Both men were arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both Gil and Trahan were transported to the jail to be booked n the aforementioned charges.
