A homeless man was arrested by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly exposed himseld in the parking lot of a local business.

On Oct. 10 at around 1:30 p.m., a TPSO deputy was dispatched to Martin Luther King Boulevard near Enterprise Drive in reference to an obscenity complaint.

Upon arrival, the deputy saw a man matching the suspect’s description and upon further investigation, it was learned that the man, Chris James Leonard, 59, exposed his genitals in the parking lot of the business and then spoke inappropriately to employees who challenged his behavior.


Leonard is listed as homeless by TPSO. He is charged with obscenity and he was taken to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex.

Bond is set at $1,000 on the obscenity charge. He also is being held on a failure to appear charge in Houma City Court. That carries a $5,000 bond.
