The Houma Police Department announced this morning that several juveniles are in custody for their alleged role in the fight that occurred in downtown Houma after Juice Fest – an incident which led to a teenager being shot in the back.

The fight occurred on July 28, 2019 hours after the popular local music festival.

Authorities reviewed several hours of footage from the scene and were able to identify several juveniles from the ages of 13-15 who were involved in the fight.

Yesterday during the early morning hours, HPD detectives conducted a roundup, as well as executing multiple search warrants. In the process, they arrested 15 juveniles on charges relative to rioting, weapons charges and drug offenses.

HPD recovered several semi-automatic pistols, as well as marijuana during the operation.
