A 30-year-old Larose man is out on bond after being charged with additional counts of sexual battery and indecent behavior with juveniles in an ongoing investigation.

Benjamin Holbert was first arrested on April 8, 2019 after juvenile detectives learned that he allegedly inappropriately touched a juvenile under the age of 12.

He was charged with one count of sexual battery (forcible fondling) and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

He posted a $10,000 bail and was released the following day.

Since that time, LPSO said two additional victims have come forward.

Authorities learned that similar incidents had occurred two years prior and both victims were under the age of 12 at the time of the incidents, as well.

This led authorities to obtain new warrants for two additional counts of sexual battery (forcible fondling) and one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Holbert was arrested on July 29, 2019. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux on the new charges.

He was released later that day after posting a $60,000 bail.
