The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help in an ongoing investigation into a 30-year-old Larose man already arrested for indecent behavior with juveniles.

On April 8, authorities arrested Benjamin Holbert, 30, of Larose after a juvenile came forward.

The investigation started in March 2019 when juvenile detectives received a report that Holbert had inappropriately touched a juvenile under the age of 12. Through investigation, authorities were able to obtain a warrant for his arrest.

Holbert is charged with sexual battery (forcible fondling) and indecent behavior with juveniles. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond.

Due to the nature of the crime and investigation, LPSO says they believe there may be more victims.

Anyone other victims are asked to contact Lt. Sean Scott of the LPSO at (985) 532-4334.

Anyone in the public with general information about Holbert or any possible victims is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433.
