The Houma Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of Jane Avenue in reference to a shooting on February 20th, 2020 at approximately 1:28 p.m.
The victim,19 years old, was suffering from a single gunshot to the leg. The victim was transported to a local medical facility and received treatment for what is considered non-life threatening injuries. The motive for the shooting is an unknown and no suspects have been identified. At the present time the investigation is in the early stages and further information may be released at a later date and time.
