The Thibodaux Police Department is investing a shooting that occurred last night in city limits.


At 7:52 p.m. on Tuesday night, TPD received a call of a shooting that had taken place at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Audubon Avenue.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a victim had been shot and was already transported to a local hospital.

Numerous vehicles and apartment complexes were also struck by gunfire during the incident.


TPD said the investigation is ongoing and the department’s Criminal Investigations Division has been working diligently to try and develop suspects.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting and is considered in stable condition.

TPD said it would like to assure the community that the safety of all citizens is their No. 1 priority and that as more information becomes available, they will release it.
