Ready to show of your crafting skills Mardi Gras style?
With Mardi Gras right around the corner, the Lafourche Parish Public Library is excited to announce that applications for Bayou Blue Branch’s 4th Annual Virtual Mardi Gras Shoebox Float Contest are now open!
Participants ages 5-15 are invited to create a float from a shoebox and then snap a photo of their masterpiece! Email a photo of your float to bayoublue@lafourche.org between December 26, 2023 – January 26, 2024. Be sure to include your name and phone number, and your float name/theme.
Voting will take place on our Facebook page January 29 – February 2, 2024. Please note that this contest is open to kids ages 5-15 throughout the parish – you do not have to be a Bayou Blue patron to participate. All are welcome, so laissez les bons temps rouler and get crafting!
