Bayou Black Gym to host winter dance for children

Bayou Black Gym will host the 8th Annual Winter Wonderland Dance with Deejay Juice for kids 13 years old and younger on Friday, Dec. 20, from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  

The dance will include games, concessions, meet and greets with special guests and plenty of music for the children to celebrate the holiday break.  

The event will also have a photographer, taking pictures for a small fee, and a free, fun photo booth with different masks and props.  

Each child will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a door prize.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their ugly Christmas sweaters.   

An on-duty deputy and parent chaperones will be present.  

Every child must be signed in before entering the event, and no child can be picked up without being signed out first.  Each parent must provide a working phone number to sign their child in.  

Admission is $5 per child.  

“It’s fun; it’s safe,” Justin “Deejay Juice” Patterson said. “And it’s the perfect babysitter for parents to get out and get some shopping done on a Friday night.”
