Berries should be at the top of your grocery list this summer. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are not only sweet and colorful, but packed with antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, potassium and folate. One cup of berries has 40-84 calories (depending on the berry) and is an excellent addition to any healthy diet. Berries are low in fat, sodium, and have no cholesterol.

Citrus fruits aren’t the only Vitamin C rich fruit. One cup of strawberries contains 160% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps heal cuts and wounds, helps our bodies grow healthy and strong, and improves our immune system. Make sure to eat a variety of fruits for the best health benefits this summer and throughout the year.
