Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo 

July 25-27

The 91st International Grand Isle tarpon Rodeo kicks off on Thursday and continues through Saturday. The Pavilion opens each day at 11 a.m. and is the location for registration, food, merchandise, education booths and more. The schedule of events includes children’s crab races at the Pavilion daily at 2 p.m. and DJ Captain P on Fri-Sat from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday night includes the President’s Welcome Party with Jim Henderson at 7 p.m. and entertainment by Nonc Nu and Da Wild Matous from 6-10 p.m. Friday night’s entertainment is Rockin Dopsie Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters from 7-11 p.m. Saturday’s entertainment includes The WiseGuys from 6-8 p.m. and 9:30-11 p.m. The rodeo awards will be at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with Master of Ceremonies Bob Breck. Beat the heat at the 20th birthday party of the largest and longest running indoor children’s festival, Summer Fun Kids Day presented by Synergy Bank. There will be four themed areas with exhibitors and activities: Safety Square, Discovery Den, Play Zone, and Wellness Way. Live entertainment will be on stage throughout the day. Admission is $5 for ages 2 and older.

All are welcome to the Terrebonne Parish Courthouse Square this Sunday evening to attend the 2nd Annual Juice Fest! Festival-goers can enjoy a night full of entertainment that includes performances by DeeJay Juice & Friends, New Orleans rapper Choppa (made the hit song and Saints’ favorite “Choppa Style”), Grammy-nominated Karina Pasian and much more local and out-of-town talent at this free, family-friendly concert. A variety of food and beverages, such as cracklins, funnel fries, hot crab dip, boiled turkey necks and chicken on the stick, among other food items, will be available to purchase at the event, as well as raffle tickets.
