It is going to be a Merry Christmas for local children thanks to the giving hearts at Terrebonne General Medical Center. 124 local children will be able to celebrate Christmas with gifts.

TGMC participated in the annual Salvation Army Angel Tree program. What started with a simple request, and grew to a level of caring beyond the imagination. An Angel represents a child in our community who is in need of assistance during the Christmas season, along with a card suggesting toys and other items the child wants or needs.

TGMC heartwarmingly provided enough gifts and necessities for 81 Angels in our community, exceeding original expectations. The hospital employees, board members and physicians donated to a such a level, there were enough gifts and supplies to provide for an additional seven children from The Haven and 36 children from the Terrebonne Children’s Advocacy Center.

“The outpouring of generosity and kindness from our TGMC family speaks volumes about how we care for our community, and especially the children,” says Phyllis Peoples, President and CEO.
