Terrebonne General Medical Center has named its employee of the month for April.

The hospital announced that Kim Parria, a nearly three-year employee, won the honor for her work as a catering coordinator in the Food and Nutrition Services department.


TGMC announces an employee of the month each month as a way to honor employees who demonstrate outstanding and constant commitment to the well-being of patients, their extended families and staff.

The winner also makes it a priority to live TGMC’s mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.

Parria does that.


In her job as catering coordinator, she frequently manages and executes catering orders for hospital meetings and events.

She is also responsible for organizing the requests, communicates the expectations to the team and personally delivers the food to ensure that all orders are completed flawlessly.

In her spare time, she also prepares select food items for the cafeteria to sell, while also stocking areas and assisting coworkers with any help needed.


“I was floored when my name was announced,” Parria said. “I strive each and every day to be the best me that I can be. I just didn’t expect everyone to notice my actions and make it known through the Employee of the Month program.”
