The Krewe of Aquarius: “Digging the 70s” will celebrate on February 15, 2020, starting at 6:30 p.m., following the traditional west side Houma route.

Queen Aquarius XXVI Renee King will lead the 705 member, all-women krewe, featuring 27 floats and 2 non-throwing floats.

Maids for her majesty are: Heather Abadie, Jennifer Lafleur, Michelle Lirette, Lara Ramos, and Heaven Rivere.

Pages to her majesty are: Re’gan Doiron, Nathan King, Layne Gautreaux and Heaven Rivere.

The Parade Captain is Vickie Boudreaux and the Ball Captain is Leslie Tidwell.

Floats are rented from Krewe of Terrenians and Krewe of Houmas. Our Krewe theme each year is chosen by our Parade Captain. Every fifth year we make sure to have the word “FUN” in the theme title, it’s been a tradition since the club was established. Each float Captain selects a sealed envelope with a theme included and that is how each float gets its theme. Then each float decides on what costume they will create for the year.

Our club host an annual Easter Eggstravaganza on the court house lawn to give back to the children of our community. The children enjoy, games, food and prizes which are all FREE, so everyone can partake.

We also make annual donations to nonprofit groups in our parish. Each year we select two groups who we feel are trying to make a difference in our community.

As we roll this year we have 14 charter members who started when the club began that will celebrate and reminisce about the last 26 years. They have been able to see our Krewe grow from 150 members to its current 705 members.
