The Terrebonne Parish Clean Sweep program will be placing 100 garbage carts along the parade route, the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government (TPCG) announced this afternoon.
TPCG said Pelican Waste & Debris will collect all garbage placed at the curbside in the garbage carts or in bags near the carts following each parade,
“Parade goers are encouraged to use the garbage carts to help cut down on litter during Mardi Gras,” reads a social media post by TPCG. “Terrebonne Parish also asks residences and businesses along the parade route to help by placing their parish garbage carts next to the parade route during the parades.”
