Tropical Storm Barry is going nowhere fast.

The storm actually moved slightly south in the 7 p.m. advisory, which left meteorologists scratching their heads.

At 10 p.m., the storm had jogged a little more to the west – but not much.

He’s now located at 28.6 north and 91.0 west.

Barry is moving west northwest at just 3 mph. Maximum sustained winds remain 65 mph.

The storm’s track has not changed – despite the hiccups in his forward motion. Landfall is expected in a small window between extreme western St. Mary Parish and New Iberia. The timing is sometime tomorrow morning.

The area remains in a Hurricane Warning as Barry’s winds and rains are expected to continue for the next 12-24 hours.
