Two Lafourche Parish women are in custody after allegedly running a meth lab.

On Jan. 10 at around 10:30 a.m., Louisiana Probation and Parole officers were conducting a compliance check at the home of Norma Savoie, 50, of Larose.

Savoie is currently on probation.

Upon arrival at the residence, Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force agents responded to the scene to investigate.

The Lafourche Parish Combined Meth Lab Response Team was also called to the scene to process the meth lab.

Inside the residence were Savoie and Reba Fitch, 29, of Raceland.

Authorities obtained a search warrant for the residence. During a search, authorities found several items associated with the production of methamphetamine. They also found drug paraphernalia and several pills, which were available only by prescription. Authorities determined those pills belonged to Rich.

Savoie and Rich were taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.

Savoie is charged with creation or operation of a clandestine laboratory for the unlawful manufacture of a controlled dangerous substance. Her bond has been set at $50,000.

Rich was booked with two counts of a legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Her bond is set at $8,000.
