The next few days will be unusually comfortable in the Houma-Thibodaux area – for July, at least.

A rare “cold front” is on its way south, which will make tomorrow an increasingly damp day with high chances of rain.

But at the end of the thunderstorm will come a rainbow in the form of pleasant weather. Tomorrow night, the front will sweep through, which will break reasonably comfortable weather for Wednesday and Thursday – all things considered.

Forecasts call for high temperatures in the upper 80s for those days with lower humidity, which should take some of the stickiness out of the air and make it more comfortable to be outdoors.

The temperatures will stay down over the weekend, as the front works its way back up over the weekend and elevates rain chances again.
