Students, teachers, and principals were recognized at the parish council meeting.
The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government recognized nine individuals for their excellence in schools, Wednesday, February 19.
“It feels good,” said Hannah Robert, a senior at South Terrebonne High School. “Like my hard work paid off.”
She intends to pursue a degree in English, and possibly a career in journalism.
Students of the year were: Reece Chaisson, 5th grader at Mulberry Elementary School; Brian Blanchard, 8th grader at Evergreen Junior High School; Hannah Robert, 12th grader at South Terrebonne High School.
Teachers of the year were: Jennifer Bourg Boudreaux, of Mulberry Elementary School; Shane Willis, Houma Junior High School; and Stephanie Pellegrin, Terrebonne High School.
Principals of the year were: Monica Breaux, of Acadian Elementary School; Sharri McGuire, of Legion Park Middle School; and Matthew Hodson, of H.L. Bourgeois High School.
