Entergy keeps chipping away at restoring power to locals after Hurricane Barry.

As of 10:45 a.m., close to 7,000 customers were without power locally. At this time yesterday, that figure was more than 17,000.

Terrebonne has the biggest pool of outages with 5,330 outages. Lafourche has 1,720 customers without power.

Entergy crews are out and about all over Terrebonne working long hours to restore the areas without electricity.

Terrebonne Parish President Gordon Dove said locals should stay off the roads as best as possible to avoid delaying the process.

Local officials also said that if folks are running low on supplies, they should get them today while conditions are still overcast. Tomorrow, skies are expected to be clearer, which could return us to our normal summertime weather routine.
