Andrew Ravaglia, the former South Lafourche Tarpons baseball coach, passed away earlier this week.

According to the Lafourche Gazette, Ravaglia was found dead by authorities in a hotel room in central Louisiana. He was 40 year old.

Ravaglia was hired in 2017 to lead the Tarpons baseball and was successful, with the Tarpons making the Class 4A Quarterfinals in 2018 and hosting a playoff game in 2019.

Ravaglia resigned from his post mid-way through the 2019 after a two-year run at South Lafourche to take a job in the private sector.
