Be on the lookout at the tropics this week.

A frontal boundary located near Memphis, Tennessee on Monday is expected to dip into the Gulf of Mexico by mid-week and conditions in the Gulf are currently favorable for activity.

The system was being given an 80 percent chance of tropical devlopment by the National Hurricane Center, as of Monday morning.

Where the storm will head – if a storm ever develops – is uncertain.

Spaghetti models show landfall is possible anywhere from western Louisiana to the panhandle of Florida.
