Louisiana State Police has confirmed LA 1 is closed to cars between the Leon Theriot flood gate and the toll bridge due to water on the roadway. Trucks and commercial vehicles with higher ground clearance are able to pass at reduced speeds. Troopers are on scene monitoring traffic and water levels.
