Lafourche Parish President Jimmy Cantrelle has issued a parish-wide curfew for all unincorporated parts of the parish, the town of Golden Meadow and the town of Lockport, beginning tonight.

The curfew will begin at 10 p.m. and will last until 8 a.m. tomorrow.

The city of Thibodaux’s curfew is from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. tomorrow.

In addition to the curfew, parish officials also announced that La. Highway 1 south of levee protection areas in southern Lafourche Parish is now closed, as waters have overtopped the road.

Port Fourchon’s administrative offices closed earlier today in advance of Tropical Storm Barry.
