Tourism officials say Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou is operating normally again after Hurricane Barry.

Timothy Bush, the President and CEO of Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou Tourism said roadways, hotels, attractions and most restaurants are open and ready to welcome journalists and visitors who want to visit the area. No travel impacts are expected with the storm out of the Gulf and area.

The people and natural beauty of the bayou is part of what makes the area so special.

Bush said folks should come and take a swamp tour and enjoy the culture that makes our area so resilient.

“Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou is open to all travelers. We were fortunate to receive only minimal effects from the storm and want to convey that now is a great time to plan a visit. We hope to see you soon,” Bush said.
