There is officially a Tropical Storm just off Louisiana’s coast.

The National Hurricane Center announced in their 4 p.m. advisory that a Tropical Depression in the Gulf has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Olga.

Olga sits at 26.3 N, 93.2 W. The storm is moving north, northeast at 18 mph.


Olga is expected to make landfall near New Iberia early Saturday morning. Forecasts for our area are unchanged. We can expect rain bands throughout the next 12-18 hours and gusty winds.
