TRMC set to honor Wellness Center’s Anniversary
November 30, 2017

Alton Lee Authement, 72, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, died on November 19, 2017.

Mr. Authement is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Judy Rogers Authement; children, Ryan Authement and wife Michelle, Laura Quick and husband Jarrod, and Everett Authement and wife Chasity; seven grandchildren, Katlyn Marcel and husband Thomas, Amber, Sarah, Micah, Spencer, Sydney, and Megan; brother, Leland Authement; sister Louella Cobb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard of the 156th Infantry. He loved God and he loved his country! He was a carpenter by trade and had a passion for wood-working. After becoming disabled with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 29, he began volunteering his service and time as Church Secretary/Treasurer at Bayou Blue Assembly of God. He served in this position for 29 years along with holding a Deacon position there for 41 consecutive years. Alton enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cooking, and spending time with his family. His grandkids were his pride and joy!
