Elton Adam “Greaux” Dean Sr., 78, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Houma, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
An oilfield driller for more than 20 years, Mr. Dean enjoyed dancing, playing Pokeno and bingo and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Poche Lovergne Dean; children, Charlene (Jimmy) Brown, Charlotte Whitby, Cynthia (Mark) Miller, Eva (Harley) Blake, Elton Jr. (DeAnna), Clayton and Carlton Dean; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Lloyd Sr. and Robert Lovergne Jr.; brothers, Morris, Oris and Cyrus Dean; and sisters, Eva Underwood, Alice Stringer, Mary Ann Dean and Gloria Pellegrin.
His final resting place will be in Casper, Wyoming.
