Hubert “Snow” Joseph Stringer, 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011.

Mr. Stringer was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church all of his life. He was involved in many aspects of the church, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Knights, music ministry and different events that took place at the church. He was an oilfield worker and salesman and was an excellent provider for his family. He loved Cajun music and played it all his life for different bands. He loved football and baseball, which he played for Terrebonne High and Tulane University. He coached Bantem football for years and assistant coached at Oaklawn Jr. High for some time. He coached baseball for Buddy Marcello and Tommy Detwiler for 35 years.

He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched throughout his life. He was larger than life to his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband and father. God Bless.
