Ellender Memorial High School will hold a weekend football camp aimed to teach young athletes the ‘Patriot Way’ to play.

The Future Patriots camp will take place Saturday at the school from 8-11 a.m. Admission to the camp is free.

Campers will receive instruction from new Patriots football coach David McCormick, as well as from the team’s assistant coaches and varsity players.

McCormick said campers need to show up in shorts, a t-shirt and cleats. Tennis shoes are also allowed if someone doesn’t have cleats.

All campers will receive a free camp shirt, courtesy of the Terrebonne General Medical Center Community Sports Institute.

With that short, all campers will be able to get in free to any Ellender home football game in 2016.

McCormick said he wants to thank Terrebonne Parish Recreation District No. 4 for sponsoring the camp.

For more information, call McCormick at (985) 856-9296.
