The end of May and the start of June mark the beginning of the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

And LSU is going to play its opening games from the comforts of home.

The Tigers will host the Baton Rouge Regional this weekend, competing against Stony Brook, Arizona State and Southern Miss in a four-team, double-elimination tournament.

The Tigers are the No. 1 seed in the regional. They will take on No. 4 Stony Brook at 6 p.m. on Friday.

They will then play either the winner or loser between No. 2 Arizona State and No. 3 Southern Miss based on what happens in the Stony Brook game.

After this weekend, the NCAA Tournament will drop from 64 teams down to 16.

If LSU is successful in winning the Baton Rouge Regional, they will play in the Super Regional against the winner of the Athens Regional where Georgia is the No. 1 seed.

The Times will be on location from Baton Rouge throughout the weekend. We will publish photo galleries throughout the weekend of baseball.
