On the day Terrebonne standout Maason Smith turned 17, he listed his top 10 schools on the recruiting trailed.

The mammoth Tigers’ five-star defensive lineman unveiled his recruiting list this past weekend, saying that he was blessed to turn 17, and looking forward to the future.

On Twitter, Smith released a photo of himself with the logos of all 10 of the schools.

He said he will still take contact from schools outside his list, but he will be “focusing on” the 10 programs listed.

“It has always been a dream of mine to play football at the Division 1 level,” Smith said. “I am very fortunate and blessed to be in this position. With that being said, these are the schools that I will be focusing on.”

The schools on Smith’s list are (in no order of significance):

-Alabama

-Mississippi State

-Georgia

-Florida

-LSU

-Texas

-Texas A&M

-Vanderbilt

-Miami

-Virginia

Smith has plenty time to make a decision. He is just a junior, so his signing day will not come until December 2020 or February 2021.

Smith is a five-star player and the No. 1 prospect in the state of Louisiana for the Class of 2021. By the time he graduates at Terrebonne, he’s expected to literally have more than 100 formal offers.
