Plaisance in rare Nicholls air

Nicholls girls’ basketball coach DoBee Plaisance just keeps on making history.

The Colonels coach won her 100th game with the school last week, scoring a 76-60 road triumph over Southeastern Louisiana – the team’s eighth win of the season.

The victory was special for Plaisance, because she’s now the first coach in the history of Nicholls women’s basketball to reach the 100-win plateau.

Plaisance is already the school’s all-time wins leader – an honor she earned last season when she eclipsed Ben Abadie, who was the previous leader with 89 victories.

Plaisance’s 100th triumph was arguably the best game Nicholls has played all season – especially in the second half.

The Colonels shot well throughout the final 20 minutes of play while also keeping their opponent out of rhythm. The team got balanced scoring in the win.
