Leonard named TGMC director of telemetry unit

Beau Leonard has been named director of Terrebonne General Medical Center’s telemetry patient care unit.


Leonard earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Louisiana State University and his nursing degree from Nicholls State. He is currently enrolled in the primary care nurse practitioner program at Louisiana Health Sciences Center.

Leonard joined the TGMC team six years ago, getting his start as a staff nurse. He was later promoted to the patient placement department.

“Our telemetry unit has been a place of outstanding care for our patients. We have an exceptional team of nurses, physicians and staff providing specialized care to patients who need to be closely monitored,” said Phyllis Peoples, TGMC president and CEO. “We are so proud to have Beau, a highly trained nurse and leader, to serve as the director of this state-of-the-art telemetry unit of excellence.”


Ristic panelist at offshore safety conference

Bo Ristic, vice president of HSEQ, Chet Morrison Contractors, was a featured panelist for the 4th annual Offshore Safety Conference in Houston in September.

Ristic spoke as part of a two-person panel on “Ensuring Day-to-Day Plans are Executed Onsite 24/7 with the Implementation of SEMSII.” His goal was to share how Chet Morrison Contractors is reducing the impact of SEMS II through enhanced collaboration and communication.


Ristic joined Chet Morrison Contractors in 2014 with more than 15 years experience managing complex projects. He began his career as a diver and dive supervisor, and has since held management positions. He has served as HES manager and director for both EPIC Divers & Marine and CalDive International. Most recently, he served as executive HSEQ and business development manager for Triton Diving Services.

Wade joins TGMC medical staff

Internal medicine physician Craig Wade has joined Terrebonne General Medical Center’s active staff.


Wade is a member of Internal Associates of Houma, serving with Drs. Ray Cinnater and Jules Dupont Jr.

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Wade earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in North Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed his residency at Chabert Medical Center.

Keller joins TRMC staff


Neurologist Curtis Keller, MD, FAAN, has joined Thibodaux Regional Medical Center’s active medical staff.

Keller received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his neurology residency at the University of South Florida then sub-specialty fellowship training in neurophysiology, with a focus on epilepsy, at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.

In addition to general neurology and epilepsy, Dr. Keller has special interest and experience in concussion, headache/migraine and neuro-oncology.


LeBouef named TGMC controller

Darlene LeBoeuf has taken over as controller at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

A 1990 Nicholls State University accounting graduate, LeBouef has more than 30 years of experience at TGMC. She has worked in accounting for 24 years. She also has experience in the patient supply department and centralized billing.


The TGMC accounting department is comprised of 14 employees who handle all areas of finance with the exception of patient billing and collections. The department handles payroll for approximately 1,350 employees every two weeks, processing approximately 92,000 invoices a year. In addition, the accounting department prepares monthly financial statements for the Commissioners, prepares an annual budget for the hospital by department, provides cost accounting data to assist directors and administrators in their areas, prepares the annual cost report for Medicare and Medicaid, and is responsible for TGMC’s annual financial audit.

“I have been here for many years and have seen TGMC grow in those years,” LeBoeuf said. “TGMC has been an intricate part of my life. As a child I remember my grandfather working here. I have received my degree, was married, had children and watched them go off to college, all while working at TGMC. I look forward to my future and TGMC’s future as we continue to grow together.”

Awasthi presents at Hong Kong Global Spine meeting


Dr. Deepak Awasthi, board-certified neurosurgeon on active staff at Thibodaux Regional, recently participated as a presenter at the 10th Annual Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS) held in Astana-Kazakhstan. He spoke on the latest approaches to minimally invasive spine surgery.

Awashti is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He specialized in minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spine surgery and neuro-trauma.

Angelloz named Lafourche PI0


Thad Angelloz was named Lafourche Parish Government public information officer.

Angelloz, 34, of Thibodaux, is charged with handling media inquiries for the parish. Prior to joining the parish government, he worked at CHAND in Mathews as a technical editor for two years after spending more than five years at The Courier and Daily Comet newspaper as a staff writer.
