Danos has named its Employees of the Year this week in an effort to showcase those who best embody the company's core purposes and values.
The 2018 Danos Staff Employee of the Year is Julie Plaisance.
She has been with Danos for 10 years. In that time, she has served in various human resources roles, including hiring and employee representative for Danos' drug screening program.
In her current position as Human Resources Assistant, Plaisance, a Cut Off native, is the face of Danos, often the first person to greet guests at the company's headquarters or on the phone.
Plaisance is a graduate of South Lafourche High School. She had 3 children and is a proud grandmother of 5.
The 2018 Field Employee of the Year is Rollen Prout.
Prout joined Danos in 1997 and he currently serves as a shorebase crane operator in Port Fourchon.
During his time with the company, Prout has mentored and developed many crew members.
A native of Boothville, Prout graduated from Boothville-Venice High School. In 1982 following graduation, he started in the oil and gas industry as a rigger in Venice.
He has since worked his way up through various positions to become a foreman and crane operator.
Prout and his wife Vickie live in Lafayette. Prout also raises cattle in his spare time. The family has one son, Chancey.
“Both Julie and Rollen have been recognized by customers and by peers as demonstrating our company’s values of integrity, safety, service, improvement and respect. They set the standard for all of our employees,” said owner Paul Danos. “We are proud to have them on our team and to recognize their hard work and accomplishments.”
