Raceland felon arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm.

Agents made contact with the subjects and found them in possession of 23 rabbits and they admitted to shooting the rabbits while riding ATVs.

Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue reported detectives are investigating a homicide that took place in the 900 block of St. Charles Street shortly before midnight last night.

On December 25, 2022, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop C responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 308 near Marcello Boulevard.

A Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Arson Investigator responded to the scene and located evidence that confirmed the fire was intentionally set, and the incident is actively being investigated.

Yesterday afternoon, a vehicle crashed into the ditch near Stadium Drive after being fired upon by unknown suspects. TPSO is actively investigating this crime.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three men for their alleged roles in baiting a pond to hunt migratory game birds.

Michael Kade Juneau, 24, of Houma, was arrested for 2 counts of Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.

Wayne J. Ponthieux, 55, of Gibson, was arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Kidnapping and 1 count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, after accusing two men of trespassing and poaching on property that he didn't own.

Detectives are investigating a shooting that took place at a business in the 1600 block of Canal Boulevard shortly before 5:30 p.m. One person was shot.

During a traffic stop, agents were able to recover close to 19 grams of suspected Powder-Cocaine, over 7 grams of suspected Crack-Cocaine, close to 90 pills of various prescription and non-prescription medications, close to 2 pounds of Marijuana, over $3,000 dollars in cash, multiple items of Drug Paraphernalia, and a firearm determined to be stolen out of the State of Alabama. Three minor children were also in the vehicle.

TPSO: Gary Diggs was arrested for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile charges. During the investigation, SVU Detectives learned that Diggs was recently released after serving a lengthy prison sentence in California, stemming from a 1995 conviction for 2 counts of Rape by Force/Fear charges, in a separate and unrelated case. 

Man turned himself into the Houma Police Department without incident.

Fitch was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for Attempted Second Degree Murder as per warrant.
