Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested last night a man who allegedly showed up to an area bar and threatened to “kill everyone” at the business.

Authorities said the incident occurred early Sunday morning outside of a bar in Bayou Blue.

Upon arrival, deputies said they learned that Donnie Glynn Jr., arrived at the bar and immediately caused a disturbance. When asked to leave, he allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and threatened to kill everyone at the bar.

Authorities said that because Glynn was outside the bar, another man was able to shut the door and lock it, calling LPSO for help.

Glynn fled in a SUV.

Louisiana State Police stopped the suspect’s vehicle near the intersection of La. Highway 182 and North Hollywood Road in Houma.

When troopers stopped the vehicle, Glynn allegedly fled on foot, losing the troopers.

Authorities did recover a loaded handgun in the vehicle, and it’s believed it was the gun used in the incident in Lafourche.

Lafourche posted a release last night, asking the public’s help in locating Glynn.

Last night at 7 p.m., authorities took him into custody, arresting him on charges for aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery.

Authorities said a look at Glynn’s history shows he’s been arrested several times, including prior convictions for simple burglary and domestic abuse battery.

Authorities said he also has an outstanding warrant in Thibodaux for a violation of a protective order.

Lafourche Sheriff Craig Webre said he wanted to thank the public for its patience and assistance in the case.
