Christopher Grant

A 29-year-old Galliano man is in the custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff"s Office after an assault call led to a sizable drug arrest.

At around 3 p.m. yesterday, a man was traveling on a bicycle along La. Highway 3162 in Cut Off when another man, identified as Christopher Grant, 29, of Galliano, emerged from a vehicle in a driveway and started to argue with him.

Additional deputies responded to the residence and Grant exited and was taken into custody.

They also located various drug paraphernalia commonly associated with the selling of illegal narcotics. All of the illegal items located were determined to have been in Grant's possession.
