Raceland Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Shooting Incident

The Houma Police Department received information and obtained a search warrant for a subject within the 1500 block of Menville Street who was believed to be growing marijuana.


 

On Wednesday Feb. 19, Houma Police, Louisiana State Police and Houma City Marshal’s Office conducted the search which yielded over 60 individually wrapped bags of marijuana, digital scales, a high-powered lighting system, as well as other items to cultivate growing marijuana indoors.

 

As a result of the investigation, Houma Police arrested Douglas Bias 33 yrs. old of Menville Street for Cultivating Marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex to be booked and jailed on the aforementioned charges.
