Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on Sunday, Dec. 29, at around 6:47 p.m., a report was received that a child had been a victim of sexual battery committed by a family friend.
A detective was assigned and further information was received indicating that the suspect also was engaged in sexual relations with another juvenile in the neighborhood.
Following further investigation Robert Louis Wilson III, 29, was arrested and booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for sexual battery by forcible fondling in connection with acts committed against the initial victim and indecent behavior with juveniles concerning crimes against the other.
He is being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
