The Houma Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place late last night and which injured two people.
Shortly after 11 p.m., HPD was called to a shots fired complaint within the Canal Street area.
While responding, authorities were informed that several shots were fired. Authorities confirmed that, finding several shell casings in the area.
As the investigation continued, HPD learned that a 26-year-old and a 21-year-old arrived at a medical facility suffering from non-threatening wounds.
One victim was shot in the shoulder and the other in the buttock.
HPD learned that the suspects followed the victims to the hospital and another shot was fired in their direction as they exited the vehicle to get to the emergency room.
At this point, Houma Police are in the infant stages and further information will be released as it develops.
