Houma Police announces the arrest of Corey D. Morrow, 37 yrs old of Longview, TX, for Armed Robbery, Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business and Possession of Marijuana.

 

On February 24, 2022, shortly after 4am, Houma Police responded to a business within the 9700 block of Main Street in reference to an armed robbery. During the investigation, it was learned a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and a ski mask entered the business while armed with a semi-automatic pistol. At this point, he demanded money and was able to get away with an undetermined amount of cash, lottery tickets and a beer.


 

As the investigation continued, Houma Police were able to identify the suspect as Corey D. Morrow. Houma Police, along with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, developed information that he was working for a construction company on a site in Gibson, La. Taking this into consideration, Houma Police and TPSO located Morrow on the site and took him into custody without incident where he was charged with Armed Robbery.

 

As this investigation took place, Houma Police were able to link Corey D. Morrow to a burglary in the 100 block of Clendening Rd that was reported on February 24, 2022, shortly before 7am. In this investigation it was reported that a male entered the business prior to the initial reporting time and stole various electronics, along with other miscellaneous items.

 

When Morrow was taken into custody in Gibson, he was found to be in possession of the items taken from the burglary on Clendening Rd as well as a small amount of marijuana. At this point Corey D. Morrow received additional charges relative to the burglary for Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business and Possession of Marijuana.


 

Corey D. Morrow cooperated fully with law enforcement and was transported to the jail to be booked on the aforementioned charges.
