An elderly Houma man was arrested last week after he allegedly exposed his genitals to kids at a local school.

On Jan. 22 at approximately 10:27 a.m., a member of the Houma Police Department uniform patrol division was on the campus of St. Francis De Sales School speaking with a group of students.

The patrol officer was then notified of a suspect that was near the campus exposing his genitals.

As the officer approached the man, the suspect was allegedly standing with his pants around his knees – staring into the playground of the school, which was occupied by children at that time.

The suspect was taken into custody and arrested.

He was identified as Johnell Westbrook, 74, of Houma.

The suspect is charged with one count of obscenity along with an outstanding warrant he possessed for theft under $1,000.
