‘Ready Today, Ready for Tomorrow’: Executive Director provides update on Port Fourchon heading into 2021

On December 29th, 2020 at approximately 2140 hrs (9:40 p.m.), officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Dunn Street in regards to an illegal discharge complaint.
After further investigation officers found that a commercial motor vessel had been shot by an unknown suspect multiple times.
As a result of the shooting the vessel captain received minor injuries from glass fragments. The motive for the shooting is unknown as the investigation is in the early stages. Further details may be released at a later date and time.
