Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced an investigation is underway after detectives discovered human remains in the Golden Meadow area on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
The remains were discovered in a wooded area just north of Yankee Canal.
An autopsy will be performed. Updates will be provided as information becomes available as the investigation continues.
