Lockport Chief of Police David Harrelson, Jr. announced the arrest of a Lockport man for simple burglary of a business. Brendon Cade Chiasson, age 22, was arrested Saturday afternoon following the investigation.

At around 6:15AM on December 14, 2021, Officers with the Lockport Police Department were dispatched to a business on Crescent Avenue in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers observed the front entry to the business to be open with signs of forced entry to the door frame. Officers were able to make contact with the owners of the business who verified that several products as well as cash were stolen from the business.


Through investigation, Officers were able to identify Mr. Chiasson as the person responsible for the burglary and an arrest warrant was obtained for Mr. Chiasson.

On December 18, 2021, at approximately 4:41PM, Mr. Chiasson was located at his residence and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Chiasson was arrested and booked accordingly into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. He was charged with Simple Burglary-Immovable Structure (Felony). His bond was set at $100,000.00.
