Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Cut Off man in connection with a Child Cyber Crime operation conducted by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Sean Michael Geagan, 44, was arrested on charges stemming from the operation.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a Denham Springs man, stemming from a Home Invasion Investigation that occurred at a residence on the Westside of Houma in May of 2023. He allegedly was one of the masked gunmen who entered a home in the 200 block of Bellingrath Drive.

“In most of these scam cases, the money has been voluntarily given by the victim to the scam artists and is nearly impossible to recover,” said Sheriff Webre.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of five Chauvin residents on multiple narcotics related charges, in connection with an extensive investigation completed by the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Intelligence Division. 

Methamphetamine, marijuana, a firearm with an obliterated number, suboxone and cocaine found during traffic stop.

Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue announced that a subject was apprehended on foot, after fleeing from a moving motor vehicle involved in a vehicle pursuit.

At the completion of the search warrant, Agents were able to locate and recover close to 13 ounces of suspected Heroin within the residence, in addition to numerous items of drug related paraphernalia, and over $300 in cash. 

Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue announced a vehicle fled from police during a traffic stop attempt earlier in the afternoon. The suspect jumped from the vehicle, and it crashed into a police unit. A detailed press release will follow at a later date as further information is gathered.

Houma Police Department was made aware of a possible phone scam taking place, where the caller is posing as a law enforcement officer demanding money for fines.

Through investigation, detectives learned there was a large gathering at a party when several shots were fired into the crowd. Detectives located a handgun at the scene as well as several shell casings.

As many as 5-6 were injured in the incident, shared Sheriff Webre. There are no fatalities reported at this time.

Jordan Esteve, 19 years old, was involved a verbal altercation with a group of individuals on Smith Lane. According to police, he pulled a handgun and started firing into the group. As Esteve was firing into the crowd, he struck a 55-year-old bystander that was working on his vehicle.

As a result of the search warrant investigators located over a half of pound of Heroin, approximately 13.26 grams of Crack Cocaine, small quantity of Xanax Pills, Small amount of Marijuana, Two Hydraulic Narcotic Presses, Drug Paraphernalia, a stolen firearm and $2,000 cash.

Nineteen year old arrested for two incidents of rape, one in Galliano and one in Baton Rouge.
