On December 25, 2022, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop C responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 308 near Marcello Boulevard. The crash claimed the life of a passenger whose identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three men for their alleged roles in baiting a pond to hunt migratory game birds.

Michael Kade Juneau, 24, of Houma, was arrested for 2 counts of Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.

Wayne J. Ponthieux, 55, of Gibson, was arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Kidnapping and 1 count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, after accusing two men of trespassing and poaching on property that he didn't own.

Detectives are investigating a shooting that took place at a business in the 1600 block of Canal Boulevard shortly before 5:30 p.m. One person was shot.

During a traffic stop, agents were able to recover close to 19 grams of suspected Powder-Cocaine, over 7 grams of suspected Crack-Cocaine, close to 90 pills of various prescription and non-prescription medications, close to 2 pounds of Marijuana, over $3,000 dollars in cash, multiple items of Drug Paraphernalia, and a firearm determined to be stolen out of the State of Alabama. Three minor children were also in the vehicle.

TPSO: Gary Diggs was arrested for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile charges. During the investigation, SVU Detectives learned that Diggs was recently released after serving a lengthy prison sentence in California, stemming from a 1995 conviction for 2 counts of Rape by Force/Fear charges, in a separate and unrelated case. 

Man turned himself into the Houma Police Department without incident.

Fitch was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex for Attempted Second Degree Murder as per warrant.

Four remain jailed with a number of charges including Attempted Second Degree Murder, Possession with the Intent to distribute a CDS, Resisting an Officer by Flight, Illegal Discharge of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Damien Fitch for one count of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a Galliano man wanted for two violent incidents. Danny Ougel Jr., 39, was arrested on Friday.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant has been obtained for one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder Furnell Nixon.

The suspect has been identified as Jarvis Robinson, 36 years old, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued for the charge of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Multiple arrests have been made stemming from the December 1 & 2 reports of vehicle thefts and gunshots fired in the Mulberry subdivision.
